Natal Chart:
This is fixed from the moment of birth and can be understood as one’s innate values, attitudes, and abilities — or even a reflection of one’s entire life, since it influences a person throughout their lifetime.
Due to advancements in modern technology, most mobile apps now offer automatic chart generation, so I will not go into detail about the components of the natal chart here. Instead, the focus will be on explaining the Transit Chart, which relates specifically to how current planetary movements influence a person’s fortune or life trends.
除了本命盤固定的不會變化，其他隨著時間變化的命盤，就是『運線盤』
而『運線盤』談的就是在特定時間範圍，人的個性、價值觀，因為宮位、星曜兩種體系，隨時間變化，所發生的變化與現象。
Aside from the natal chart, which is fixed and unchanging, all other charts that vary with time are referred to as 「Transit Charts」.
「Transit Charts」 describe how a person’s personality and values may shift during specific time periods. These changes and phenomena occur due to the dynamic movement of houses and planets, which are two key systems in astrology that evolve over time.
- 「大限盤」：每十年因為命宮的天干，所產生不同的命盤；歲數以實歲來計算；一般也代表影響這十年的運勢。比方說，大限盤官祿宮有破軍星獨坐，代表這個十年對工作有夢想，也有創意、藝術的能力特質
- 「Decade Chart 」:This chart changes every ten years, based on the Heavenly Stem of the Life Palace. The age is calculated using actual age (not nominal age). Generally, it represents the major influences and life trends over that ten-year period.
For example, if the Career Palace in the Decade Chart contains the star Po Jun (the Destructive General) sitting alone, it suggests that during this decade, the person may have big dreams related to work, as well as qualities like creativity and artistic talent. - 流年/小限盤：流年由天干和地支，由西元對應的天干地支推算過來的干支紀年，代表外界對人的影響；小限代表個人的選擇，影響一年的時間；歲數以虛歲來計算。比方說，流年財帛宮有武曲星獨坐，代表這一年對賺錢的態度比較務實。
- 「Annual Chart / Minor Cycle Chart 」:The Annual Chart (Liunian Chart ) is based on the Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branch corresponding to the Gregorian calendar year — calculated using the traditional Chinese sexagenary cycle. It represents external influences on a person during that year.
The Minor Cycle Chart (Xiaoxian Chart ) reflects a person’s personal choices and internal responses, and it influences one year at a time. The age for this chart is calculated using nominal age (or “Chinese age”).
For example, if the Wealth Palace in the Annual Chart contains Wu Qu (the Finance Star) sitting alone, it indicates a more practical and grounded attitude toward making money during that year. - 流月/流日盤：流月代表外界影響一個月/一天的時間，因為只有一個月/一天，所以通常影響的程度不大。比方說流月夫妻宮有巨門星獨坐，代表這個月因為外在環境，影響了這個人的感情態度，比較會想跟用講話溝通、或者吃飯的方式談感情，同時對感情也較沒安全感
- Monthly and Daily Transit Charts (Liu Yue / Liu Ri Charts):The Monthly Transit Chart (Liu Yue Chart) and Daily Transit Chart (Liu Ri Chart) represent external influences over a period of one month or one day, respectively. Because the time span is short, the impact is usually relatively minor.
For example, if the Spouse/Marriage Palace (Fuqin Gong) in the Monthly Transit Chart contains Ju Men (the Huge Gate Star) sitting alone, it suggests that this person’s attitude toward relationships may be influenced by external circumstances during that month — they may prefer to express feelings through conversation or by sharing meals, and also feel less secure emotionally. - 以上這3種命盤加入了立體的概念，也就形成所謂的『疊宮』，彼此互相影響，而展現出來的因果關係；比方說，我『本命盤』命宮獨坐破軍星，我是一個天生愛做夢有很多天馬行空的想法，但這十年因為「大限」官祿宮疊到我的『本命盤』命宮，於是我因為天生愛有夢想的個性，造成我這十年想要做能讓我發揮創意的工作或事業
- When these three types of charts are layered together with a three-dimensional perspective, they form what is known as “Palace Overlap” (Die Gong). These overlapping charts influence one another, revealing causal relationships between personality and life events.
For example, if my Natal Chart’s Life Palace (Ming Gong) contains Po Jun (the Destructive General) sitting alone, I’m naturally a dreamer with many imaginative, out-of-the-box ideas. Now, if during a certain decade, the Career Palace (Guanlu Gong) in my Decade Chart happens to overlap with the Life Palace in my Natal Chart, then my innate dreamer personality directly affects how I approach work during this ten-year period — leading me to pursue jobs or careers that allow me to express creativity.
