命盤的結構分為宮位與星曜：
1.宮位：宮位由命、兄弟、夫妻、子女、財帛、嫉厄、遷移、僕役、官祿、田宅、福德、父母等12個宮位組成，初步的概念，每個宮位的對宮都是這個宮位外在的展現與內心的想法，因為兩宮位會互相影響

There are 12 palaces in the chart, including: Life, Siblings, Spouse, Children, Wealth, Health, Travel, Friends, Career, Property, Inner Mind, and Parents.
Each palace has an opposing palace (referred to as the “opposite palace”), which reflects the external behavior and internal perception of that area of life. These paired palaces constantly interact and influence each other.
2.星曜：星曜由4煞星、14主星、6吉星、其他星曜、雜曜
